Relaxing weekend here. Lots of time in the yard. Pulling weeds, raking grass and mowing up a storm. Trimming around trees that seem suddenly huge. Really, leave your house for a season and see just how much everything grows. It's amazing!
Did some sewing for my little Etsy shop. Will post the new items soon. Maybe tomorrow, even. I've got more ideas for a few new things swirling through my mind. Time to get them from mind to reality, that's the issue! Soon...
Saddened by the news that Clarence Clemons, the gifted sax player for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, passed away. Such a loss.
I baked cookies Saturday night. I don't know about you, but when I bake something I expect it to taste good. Really good. These cookies? Cosi cosi. For those who don't understand Italian slang, they were so-so. Me? I'm not crazy about so-so baked goods. I'll try the recipe again but I'm definitely going to jazz it up. I used Nutella for the hazelnut taste but I'm considering using actual hazelnuts as well. I'll let you know how it goes.
So, my weekend.
One question. Just one. Does this weekend sound like it belongs to a person who's stuck? I ask because, honestly, if one more person tells me it's time to "move on" I'm going to scream. Really. I'll scream. Then, who knows? I just might smack someone because really, this is as "moving on" as I'm going to get for now. Maybe for a long while.
Anyhow, moving on...
How was your weekend? What did you do? Whatever it was, I hope you had a peaceful few days!

Move on? Where do they want you to move on to?
Sounds to me like you have a full and busy life.
To the ones badgering you to move on,
PFFFTTT!!!
You're doing an amazing job dealing with your situation. Stay strong. Don't listen to anyone else.
Maria is right. You are doing fine job.
BTW, I wonder how many of the people telling you this junk are widows? I bet none of them. No one knows how you feel but you.
Doesn't sound like you're standing still to me.
When I bake stuff I want it to be REALLY good too. Otherwise, why waste the calories? :-)
I went to the beach on Saturday and hosted a brunch on Sunday and a dinner with the neighbors that night. It was nice.
Those people need to move on. Seriously. What is wrong with them? Oh, yeah, they haven't a clue.
You are doing great. Just ignore them. Or better yet, give them the link to this blog post and tell them to read these comments. xoxox
My weekend was good. I went to a graduation party and had a good time and then the rest was spent relaxing.
Sounds to me you're doing a lot so what are these people thinking.
Tell them to buzz off. Maybe they need to move on. You're doing just fine, honey. Keep it up!!

I hate it when I bake something and it isn't as good as I want it to be. Try again!
Move on? Stupid, just stupid advice. Ignore it.
Jess
Late to the party, but just saying that you're "moving on" at your own pace ... if it's too slowly for some folks, then they can just speen on past.
You're the one walking in your shoes, not them. I'm proud of you and what you're doing to handle things. I think you're "moving on" just fine.
