Here? There?

Hubby and I are pretty well settled but every once in a while I get the relocation bug. Does that happen to you? Ever feel like you'd like to live in a neighborhood other than your own? Hmm? Do you wonder how it would feel to be in a completely different environment, surrounded by new sights? Sounds? People?

We do.

Or, I guess you would say, I do.

Lately the "what if...?" craze has bitten me, leaving an impression almost as tangible as one left by a giant, sharp-toothed mosquito. I've been looking at houses on the beach. In the wilds of Montana. Of course, in the hills of Umbria and Tuscany. On Crete and Sicily. Yeah, I've got it bad.

Hubby smiles, shakes his head and asks, "So when are you going to start the next book?" He knows that once I begin to write I'll lose the wanderlust gnawing at me. Until then, though...

What do you think of Sacramento?

And, if you could choose a new place to live, where would you choose?

I have always thought living in Texas would be cool. Cowboys and all that stuff-I think that's the lure for me. So yeah I'd go to Texas in a minute.

I sometimes think I could live in the suburbs but I would miss the tall buildings. The west coasts looks good, but then I would miss the Four Seasons.

I do find myself wondering where I would go when it's time to retire, and I'm leaning towards Charleston, which is a little bit city and country.

Have a good Monday.

My husband and I always liked his parents' house and thought it would fit our family well. A little less than two years ago we moved in! It makes you think of the saying "Be careful what you wish for..." because the reason we were able to take over the house is that both my husband's parents have passed away. On the other hand we are very glad to have their memory with us every day.

I don't get the bug to move but I think my hubby was a gypsy in another life. We've moved 4 times in the 15 years we've been together!

I'd love to be able to move to the mountains in North Carolina:)

One of my fave time wasters is checking out real estate listings in various places. I'd love to live in Bend, OR. My hubby would love to live in Helena, Montana though he keeps mentioning Germany as a work transfer.

If we sell our house, we're moving but it's only about 10 minutes away. I'd like to have a vacation place though by the beach but need money for that. LOL

Great topic, Sarita!

I was born and raised in and around Sacramento, and miss it something fierce. It's where I'd move if I didn't have to consult with anyone else.

I always have wanderlust... where I live now is the longest I've ever settled in one place and BOY do I have the itch to move...

... almost anywhere.

Anywhere but here would be good at the moment. Even the other side of the rabbit-proof fence, back of Bourke...yep, anywhere!!
