Seeds, Seeds Everywhere!

Just a couple of sights from our weekend. You know what's coming, don't you?

That's right, spring is on its way. And what would spring be like without thoughts of gardening? I know we're going to drastically downsize the gardens this year but still...who can resist a seed or two? Or a catalog (or two or three) with a cup of tea? Hmm?

Yesterday I brought in a half-flat to start a few seeds. I plan to buy this year's plants but my dad loves really, really hot peppers so I planted a dozen pepper seeds.

Then, just because I think they're fun, I planted this half-dozen Turk's Turban squash seeds.

So, we're going to have a tiny garden but there's still going to be room for fun.

Do you garden? And are you gearing up for the upcoming planting season?

I don't garden but I am going to grow things vicariously through you! Those big seeds are the turbans?

I hope you aren't getting any of the snow storm today.

My green thumb stays indoors with my plants - I have lots of those! I leave the outside stuff to hubby, who keeps the yard looking neat and tidy . . . but doesn't like it when I add any "extras". Thank goodness for the local farm market!

You BOUGHT coneflower seeds? Dear heavens, I have hundreds of the buggers from my plants. I've been tossing them into empty fields, lol...

In fact, I have lots of flower seeds. Want some?

I can't possibly think about gardening right now. We've gotten well over a foot of snow, and it's still snowing. UGH.

OH! I looked closer... duh, that's the catalog! LOL... maybe that's a picture from a field out here where I've been throwing my seeds. You think?

I haven't garden in a long time. Then it was just a small bed of flowers, but I want to try this spring. Just have to figure out what to do first!!!

And I'm so glad you stuck with the challenge. The numbers you get behind sound like a lot but just doing a bit more really adds up quickly!
