Why'd the turtle cross the road?
I don't know why he did. It's a secret he kept.
When I asked, he snapped at me. I didn't ask twice.
Instead, I came back up the driveway to keep company with some of the friendlier country critters.
See this guy? He's never snapped at me. We are amigos.

I am so glad we don't have any turtles in our yard. That thing looks mean! The froggy looks much friendlier.
