Hexed

Let me be perfectly frank with you. I've got a lot of long, lonely hours to fill now. Life has changed drastically here at Casa Leone, so I'm learning how to adapt.

I decided a new hobby might help. So, I've begun doing something I've always had a hankering to do. It's fiddly work. But it's fun. And the hours? They fly by!

All good.

My new obsession, uh, hobby? Hexagon piecing. I plan to make something lovely with these little paper pieced flowers. A quilt, maybe. Or perhaps a smaller project, like a pillow or table runner, to begin with.

The first pile of hexagon makings looks so tidy, doesn't it? I've got a feeling that's a short-term condition. I can see these hexies invading the place!

Uncomplicated and undemanding. An ideal diversion.

The first complete flower.

So sweet!

Do you sew these together by hand? Looks absolutely lovely, but I know myself too well to even attempt it. You, however, do such beautiful work!

You are incredible! Such a pretty little flower. It's good that you have a new hobby to keep you busy, especially since its one that doesn't involve dirt or shovels.

love you!

Very old-fashioned and pretty. My grandmother had a quilt made of thes flowers. I loved it.

They're gorgeous, but just the thought of doing them gives me the shakes! LOL...

I'll be interested to see the final product. Since they're paper, how would you clean whatever it is you make?
