Reading?

Happy Friday, everyone!

Oh, don't you just love Fridays? I don't why I love 'em so much. I just do. It's probably a holdover from being a kid and knowing the weekend is almost here. Whatever. Every Friday moring I wake up with a grin on my face. I hope you do, too.

It's been a while since I asked you all what you're reading. I love to hear what everyone's got facedown on their bedside table, stashed in their purse or dog-eared on their coffee table. I guess I'm just a bit nosey about what people are reading. Always have been. Probably always will be.

Oh! Me? Well, I'm completely pulled into Wild Hunt by Lori Devoti. It is a Silhouette Nocturne and just other-worldy enough to make me feel like I'm on some kind of journey with the characters. I love it when that happens.

This is the third book in a series and I've got to admit I wish I had read the first two books. I was a little lost in the beginning but now that I've figured out who's who and what's what I am hooked. Yeah, I'll be reading the books that follow this one. There's a wonderful element of suspense in her writing. I'm right on the edge of my seat with this one and loving every minute of it.

Now, your turn. What are you reading? Hmm?

See? I told you I was nosey about books. :)

I'm going to check out the book you're reading. It sounds interesting. A nice change of pace from the dull book I'm reading now. I won't say what it is but man is it dragging on!!!

"Mercy Street" by Mariah Steward and "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" by Barbara Kingsolver.

Both quite good.

:-)

Happy Friday!

Unusual for me, but I've gone all non-fiction the last few weeks.:-)

I'm ready to get back into fiction-mode, though, and so I may search out Wild Hunt. I love taking a journey with the characters also. That's when you can really lose yourself in a book and I love that.
Thanks for the rec - and happy Friday! :-)

For Non Fiction, I'm reading The World Is Flat by Thomas Friedman. So far, it's really pulled me in.

For Fiction: I have several books going: Avi's The End of The Beginning, a children's book I will read this afternoon because it's due back at the library and then, I'm struggling through a Harlequin Presents. I'd tell you the title, but I've been reading it at the pool during 9's swim lessons, so I had to put a white paper cover around it. Did not want to be the one responsible for some six-year-old asking her mother what a virgin was. Those titles just crack me up. I'm also starting Oh. My. Gods. by Tera Lyn Childs.

Of course, I have to get my proposal finished today, so all that wonderful reading gets put off until that's done.
