Don't Count the Chickens...

Is it Monday already? How did that happen?!

I feel like I'm entering the vortex this week, trying to push a gazillion things into a few days. Anyone have any tips on stretching the hours? Hmm? I'm definitely up for pushing the edge on at least a couple of days this week.

I've got edits to do, interview questions to answer and a bunch of other work-related stuff to deal with. Lest it slip my mind, I've got a book to finish writing. The book? It's only half done so I've got heaps of work to do.

At least we got the gardens planted this weekend. The greenhouse is empty save for the second wave of veggies and perennials that will go in in a month or so. But all the stuff that had to get planted? Done! Yay!

Between us, I thought we'd never get the last eggplants and tomatoes planted. They just wouldn't stop coming out of the greenhouse...sort of like one of those clown cars where the clowns keep stepping out...and stepping out...and...well, you get the idea.

I can't not mention the Belmont Stakes. What on earth happened there? It just goes to show you really can't count on anything until it's a done deal, can you? I'm just relieved Big Brown is all right. And congratulations to Da' Tara on a race run well! Way to go!

How do you find time to write with all the gardening you do? I'm amazed!

When do you sleep? Do you have pictures of your garden? I'd love to see what it looks like now.

I don't know how you do so much with the gardening and the writing.

Good luck with your book writing efforts.

Have a good Monday.

I'm with these other ladies, LOL, I get tired just reading about all the work you do --and you still manage to find time to write besides!

Sounds like a wonderfully productive weekend. Mine was busy, (although not as productive!) but when the alarm went off bright and early this morning all I could think was "It can't be Monday, I haven't had a weekend yet!"

But it sounds like you find joy in every single thing you do. ;-)

Glad to hear the garden is in! Doesn't it feel great? My promise to myself this year is to keep the weeds down regularly so I don't get overwhelmed. I put newspaper and grass clippings in the walking aisles, so that should help...

And, yeah, the Belmont. Honestly, I have to give the jockey kudos when he realized Big Brown wasn't himself, and pulled the horse up. The last thing anyone would have wanted was another horse breaking down.

Good luck with the writing!

Ah, so you girls are into the races! We have the Belmont Races over here too.
Sarita, you are a lady of many, many talents and I don't know how you manage to fit so much into your day. Back in the good old days I used to start at about 5am and go flat out until everything was finished...clean, wash, iron, garden, clean cars, coach hockey, drink wine, cook - probably in that order.
